• as always, my japanese is not native-level and thus is prone to error! please understand that this is a fan translation unaffiliated with happy elements.
• mitsu calls mayoi by "どこかの誰かさん" before they start calling the mysterious helper (mayoi) a "fairy". this translates roughly to "someone somewhere", but it felt a little clunky and awkward in the english translation, so i went with different wording. reminder that japanese is a highly contextual language and it often doesn't 100% translate AND keep all of its original nuance/feel.
• hiiro's "speak of the devil" is written here as "噂をしていたら戻ってきたよ", which is a play on the japanese "version" of "speak of the devil and he shall appear", which is "噂をすれば". it's just a more localized english version of what he said rather than translating it more literally. he's using it here as a way to pretty much say "when i was speaking of [mitsuru], he returned".
• yuuta's "human wave tactics" are a war strategy where the attackers basically overwhelm their opponents with sheer numbers, and the opponents are "swept away" by their force. you can probably see why this specific reference made mayoi extremely nervous :')
