Season: Spring

Location: Rhythm Link Office

<After a short time>

Nazuna: What do you think, Keito-chin?

Keito: The areas I highlighted have been properly corrected, and the reference materials should be easier to compare as opposed to the last draft.

I think that if it looks like this, it shouldn't be an issue even if you take it to external meetings, right?

Nazuna: Really? Good~!

My bad for making you review it so many times. I know you're busy, Keito-chin.

Keito: Don't worry about it. In the draft you first showed me, your proposal had no major flaws.

If you're making significant changes to the foundation of the proposal, it's a different story, but if you're just doing brush-ups it doesn't take too much time.

The particular point that I was most interested in was the point about modifying the basis to primarily liven up the recruitment event, rather than promoting a specific club.

Nazuna: Yeah. That's 'cause when I talked about it with Tomo-chin and the others, we figured it could easily look like unfair favoritism, so~.

Keito: If I may say this, it reminded me of your proposals from a while ago, and I felt a bit nostalgic.

Nazuna: Did it remind you of our time at Yumenosaki? It's true that I asked Keito-chin to look over my proposals a lot back then~.

Ah, I also had one more thing I wanted to talk to you about.

Keito: The budget, right?

Nazuna: Yeah. I think it depends on how the meeting with the university faculty goes, but is this really the limit on the budget for this project?

Keito: This livestage is a proposal from Ra*bits' side. Because of that, I'm not sure how much support you'll get from the university, but the original proposal is essentially similar to a volunteer activity.

Somehow, we were able to do brush-ups, so it turned into a kind of "create-your-own-project", and you managed to scrape together some funds, but......

That's likely the limit of the assistance from our office's side.

Nazuna: I see...... Like you said, Keito-chin, I'm aware that this is originally categorized as a volunteer activity, so I get that it can't really be helped.

But with this budget, we can't really afford getting fancy with the stage construction or costumes, huh~.

Keito: Hm. If the costumes are an issue, why don't you discuss it with Kiryu?

He hasn't had any urgent work for a while now. I don't know if he'll feel up for taking on the costume making itself, but I'm sure he'll at least help you out by brainstorming ideas.

Nazuna: That's true...... Since you said that, I'll get in touch with him after this.

...... Oh, it's almost time.

Keito: Do you have plans this afternoon?

Nazuna: Yeah. I've got a group presentation in class today.

Since I wasn't in class 'cause of work, I said I'd do the presentation.

Keito: So it's a class presentation. I see. That's something you can't be late to.

Nazuna: Yup. That's why I should get go—

Mitsuru: Ah, Nii~chan's here~!

Nazuna: Uo— Mitsuru-chin, isn't it a bit dangerous if you suddenly come up and hug me~?

Mitsuru: Ehehe, I came dashin' up at a speed where Nii~chan won't fall, so it's okay!

Tomoya: Good work today, Nii~chan, Hasumi-senpai.

Keito: You're earlier than expected. There's still some time until the next meeting, no?

Tomoya:
It's not good to be late, you know? And I wanted to come early and review the material anyway.

Keito: I see. That's a good attitude to have.

Nazuna: Sorry, Tomo-chin. It's a meeting about the upcoming programs Ra*bits will appear in, but I'm leaving it all to you.

Tomoya: No, please don't worry about it. I'm Ra*bits' leader, after all.

Besides, in Nii~chan's case, I want you to be able to focus on the recruitment event.

Nazuna: You're really helping me out by saying that. I was just discussing that exact subject with Keito-chin.

Now that we have the stamp of approval, the meeting should go smoothly ♪

Well then, I should get going.

Mitsuru:
Yeah. Nii~chan, do your best~!

Keito: Nito seems to be in very high spirits, huh.

Despite being so busy with university life and idol activities, he still completed that proposal in no time.

He's been a guy with a strong sense of responsibility from the beginning. Once he starts on something, he becomes quite reliable.

However. With that sense of responsibility, sometimes he pushes himself too hard. I hope he doesn't spiral, but......

Tomoya: Fufu. It's alright, Hasumi-senpai.

Keito: Hm. And by that, you mean...?

Tomoya: The Nii~chan of now always tells us if there's any progress on a project, no matter how small.

I mean, it's likely he was thinking really carefully about how to approach a rock version of Ra*bits.

He seems busy, but he didn't decide to try to take it on all by himself...... He really does rely on us now.

Mitsuru: Yeah, yeah! We all had a chat about it yesterday too~!

I don't really know lots about rock stuff, but it's kinda fun to puzzle over it with everyone!

Keito: Even the time spent worrying over something is fun, huh......

Well, I can understand why he relies on you, considering your actions last year.

Mitsuru: What d'ya mean by that?

Keito: As leader, Mashiro attended meetings with your proposals on-hand, reviving Ra*bits after taking over for Nito.

Tenma, you've also expanded the breadth of your activities through your active participation in various TV programs.

He's not here at the moment, but I heard that Shino has also be able to continue growing through the experience of having a mentor.

If I compare you all now to when I was attending Yumenosaki, you've all grown remarkably.

In terms of that growth, Nito has been the one watching the most closely.

In all likelihood, since I believe you've all grown to the point of being able to trust you to watch his back, Nito himself also probably believes that, no?

Tomoya: Ahaha...... When you say it like that, I get kind of embarrassed somehow.

Mitsuru: I don't really get it, but you're sayin' we're helping out Nii~chan, right?

Keito: Right. I know you all face each job in earnest, but I feel as though Nito has a different kind of enthusiasm right now.

He seems almost like the Nito of the time when he was recklessly leading Ra*bits.

Notes:
  • as always, my japanese is not native-level and thus is prone to error! please understand that this is a fan translation unaffiliated with happy elements.
  • nazuna's mention of their performance being seen as "favoritism" can also be translated as being seen as "nepotism". in my opinion, it's probably referring to ra*bits' popularity as a serious idol group and the fact that they'll undoubtedly attract both fans looking to support them and their cause as well as students interested in the fact that they're an idol group. if they only advertise themselves as an idol group performing for the choir, the choir will thus become the main attraction.
